I always thought the whole Russia and Trump thing was overblown I thought he just likes Putin cause they're similar people. They lie a lot, they always need to project themselves as these strong leaders, they have some insecurity issues. But after what happened now he has chosen Russia over Nato so he's an enemy now as far as I'm concerned. The U. S. and Europe are enemies now I guess. Till now I wasn't that concerned about the Ukraine war. It took 3 years and Putin barely advanced. For me personally it didn't affect me at all, I was fine just sitting back letting the politicians handle it.
But now a lot has changed. It has become the battle for Europes future pretty much. It needs to be a big priority right now to support Ukraine so they don't have to negotiate from a disadvantage or don't have to negotiate at all. And if it comes to a negotiation that the new border will be secured beyond any doubt.
It's a difficult time but I hope in the long run something good will come from this.
Why was Biden & obama so intrested in Ukraine? Why Afghanistan? Why Iraq? Whey central asia? There are are resources in Russia and Ukraine that America wants, rare earth minerals but a Ukraine under Russian influence or a Russia outside the American hegemony is not good for the us so to pull Ukraine away from Russia and to worse case weaken Russia and best case break it up is the goal. Central Asia is a major us target but it's got China to the east, Russia to the north, Iran to the west and Afghanistan to the south. Central Asia is mineral rich and their economy set to grow but the us has no access.
Canada is basically a US state but they've been grandstanding and going against the grain of us hegemony, well trudeau has. It's been negligent in maintaining its military relying too much on the US.
A general rule you should apply to what ever happens on the global stage if you want to know why it happened is ask yourself how it benefited the US & who made money out of it.

Trump/Krasnov was recruited by the KGB back in 1987, when he announced for the very first time that he was considering running for the presidency of the United States. @OddBeMe I'm catching up on politics after being a way for a while. So this had me confused this week. Why is Russia so hesitantly taking over Ukraine. I would assume they would just one push take over if their power was there. But if they are broken and weak using the US as aid in illusion to deal does say something. Russia is prob worse off than Ukraine in reality. Makes sense their Redbull hotel was a pit, couldn't even keep up appearances for that world inside peak when athletes stayed.
