Well, here’s what I’m seeing, or maybe more accurately NOT seeing. I’ve been on here a long time. I was a grizzled vet of this place the FIRST TIME Trump got elected. (And not for nothing, that was around the time this place started changing in its nature, certainly the biggest shift in GAG I’ve witnessed in 13 years.)

in 2017, this place became nearly unbearable. Constant…and I mean CONSTANT…ball-washing of Trump, victory lapping on “owned” libs. That was like 50% of the material on here, just “Trump won, suck it!” I even started suspecting bots on here, like there was one user who would always ask these Trump troll questions with the exact same format every time. Question like: “Is Trump the greatest POTUS of all time?” Details always: “I think he is!”

It just got boring, more than anything.

But my point is: 2025, vs 2017…. FAR LESS victory lapping this time around. It was starting to pick up after the election, and right up to the inauguration, and then…. within a week or two it really cooled off. We’ve still got some of it, but the volume now, compared to eight years ago…exponentially less. I’ve even seen a question or two from known supporters that seem to be questioning some of his moves. They all love the deportations, huge boners for that, but other than that…. they haven’t said it out loud yet, but they’re getting impatient for the immediate results they were promised.

Most are still in “defend the wall” mode, and I think we’ll be waiting a long time if we’re expecting a bunch of GAG MyTakes about “I voted for Trump, I fucked up, sorry, America.” I don’t think we should hold our breath for the collective realization and apology, I think a lot of humans don’t really have that in them.

Instead, I think this will go in phases. Phase 1 will be blame shifting to others, “liberal” federal judges, Democrats, “jOe BiDeN.” But those will eventually wear thin, and they’ll start eating their own, probably Elon or Pam Bondi or Marco Rubio, we’ll see who falls from their grave first.

The last guy to be blamed will be Trump, because that’s the one that demands accountability from the voters in question. The answer for these guys CAN’T BE “**I** fucked up and voted for the wrong guy”, that’s the bottom line. If it comes to Trump, it’s gonna be “he was great for all those years but then he lost his mind, and he turned on us.”

The REAL answer of “I was selfish and bigoted, and I was all for Trump attacking others when I thought it would just be “them” and not “me”…. but now that I’M being negatively impacted, now it’s a problem, because I’m selfish and have no empathy for others, and even in some cases wish them misfortune because I think I’ll somehow benefit. But I bet on the wrong horse, and it came back to bite me.”
