International Criminal Court has the right to have this corrupt bastard on trial. As we’ve made clear, everyone has a right to a fair trial and I’m sure that if he is truly innocent he’ll be able to prove himself with great lawyers.

If the evidence is so overwhelming that there is no reason of doubt that this asshole is guilty then by all means lock him up.

I take my stance that no former President / former Prime minister / former politician in general , whether American or global, the principle that: No one is above the law. No matter what. Rodrigo Duterte is no exception. No exception. If he truly did these war crimes, extrajudicial slayings up to the thousands, etc. then he certainly shall be punished.

He's very much beloved in the Philippines. I've traveled there numerous times and there's no doubt if he could run again he'd win in a landslide. I don't understand it but when you elect lunatic leaders you become a third world country by choice

I think that's a safe guess. Asians over there definitely have a different view of politicians than we do in the West. They didn't seem to mind dictators. My in-laws are from there and they love Duterte. Even my expat friends there like him and they are from all different political views. I don't get it.
