Sadly the Democrat Party has no bench at the moment and they seem to believe it's still 1980 and they're still competing against Republicans who are not total fascists and criminals.

Why do these major political parties not grasp the concept of succession planning? Why aren't they constantly grooming a new generation of leaders to compete in elections? Why do they treat their selection process as a "next person's turn" system where candidates have to "wait their turn". That almost guarantees an endless parade of geriatric geezers who are nearly dead in office and using yesterday's policies to solve yesterday's problems.

I used to be a registered Democrat and used to vote primarily Democrat. I'm independent now, and yes I voted for Trump last year. Why? Because the Democrat party I once knew is gone, and what replaced it is complete fucking insanity.
