Is it just me who talks more bluntly to people online?

When I am online, I say things I wouldn't say to people in real life because online I get no consequences other than a block or report, but I don't care about it. I feel lot more free here.

Some people are lonely or stressed, then suppress their feeling because afraid being judged. When in the social media people feel more secure and free to express their feelings.

This is the privilege of limited anonymity. In real life is much political correctness necessary and telling people the truth you think about them in RL is anyway very counter productive.

The way I talk to ignorant or stupid people on here is how I would talk to those same people in real life. I’ll always be cordial if I’m met with the same respect but my reaction to disrespect or stupidity is the same online and off.
