What was the last scam attempt that was made on you?

Today somebody tried to trick me into giving out my home address by telling me I won a free prize in a raffle and they wanted to ship it to my house.

I use fake names when I register with online mailing lists so that I can identify who is responsible for what email.

An example is that McDonalds has a fake name for my user profile on their McD's app.

When I won $100 in McDonalds raffle, they gave me the option of using a name on the cheque they sent me that was different from my user name in the McDonalds App.

I am assuming others also use fake names or they would not have given me that option.

"Cops" called and said I missed jury duty and was contempt of court. So they tried to get me to bail myself before turning myself in at the police station with zelle.

It's really important to tell people about these scams. I'm aware of these scams and still fell for it till the bank app came up. I 100% understand how people get scam now. The way they keep you off balance and don't give you 2 second to think is calculated and malicious on a whole other level.

So tell everyone you know about them.

Has to be a steam login fraud scam, or a robo call scam but I think it was the steam login scam that was most recent. Surprisingly the discord scammers have been quiet lately. I never fall for scams in general.
