He clearly didn't consider the possibility of retaliatory tariffs and expected other countries to cave. His ridiculous 200% tariffs show a lack of planning and is causing the markets to retreat. Businesses can't make future plans without knowing what their materials cost is going to be and the tariffs have changed how banks view risk assessment making it harder to get business loans. The Atlanta Fed has changed it's outlook from just over 2% GDP growth to just over 2% GDP contraction. His temper has chased trading partners away leaving the US in isolation. Flights from Canada, UK, EU and around the world are being cancelled as the US is no longer being considered a vacation destination under this hostile administration.

they found a couple of people that are panicked about the stock market. There is so much good news about the economy that the fake news does not cover. The inflation figures were lower than expected, oil is $66. BBL, the lowest in almost 4 years, the jobs numbers were good especially among citizens, there are many companies that will invest oner a trillion dollars in development in the United States and President Trump's tax bill is going through congress now. The drop in the stock market is a temporary result of panic selling. In a couple of weeks the fake news will have to find something else to try and make President Trump look bad.
