The UK and Germany have issued not to travel to the US, will other countries be behind them?

In the past few hours, both the UK and Germany have advised not to travel to the US.

The UK foreign travel advice says: "You should comply with all entry, visa, and other conditions of entry. The authorities in the US set and enforce entry rules strictly. You may be liable to arrest or detention if you break the rules. If you’re not sure how these requirements apply to you, contact the US Embassy or a consulate in the UK."

For my American friends on GAG, what do you think about all of this?

I've been here 13 years or more..
I've always have used Gag. To see how people all over the world. Act react to gage where we are headed as a whole.
I've have also said one day we are all going to need each other to find out what is really going on in different countries. Because our world is changing so fast. Leaders of all countries are either trying to lead. Or they just. Follow.

I dont watch TV any more because I watch and listen to people that do. Being want to see how much of a follower they are by the words they use when they talking to some one. And they sound just like there favorite media out let news caster ( brain washed)

Any way my point is. Thank you for your information if it's true the way you Describe it that's not good... If it's true because you need your visa pass and ID then nothing has changed. To enter into most countries you need identification.
And it's Understandable. Because of what trump is trying to do to keep illegal aliens from entering the united states.

Last week a British woman stayed with American friends. She did not work for them or receive payment, but she did help out with the dishes after a meal. Ice considered this to be work and jailed her before deporting her in irons. She reports being badly treated, threatened, not given clean clothes etc.

The advice now is any breach of a visa no matter how small or innocent could result in your arrest to help ice meet their targets.

They didn't advise people not to travel to the US. They simply recommended they "should comply with all entry, visa, and other conditions of entry", and that they can get in trouble if they don't. That is excellent and practical advice, don't you think?

It is good advice to know and follow the laws of countries you visit. But that is not enough in the US. Trump has recently rounded up people he thinks look like foreigners and crooks and shipped them to other countries. One of his criteria is that he says they have gang tats. (The guy he put in charge of that program has more offensive tats all over his body and he thinks that is great.) The courts ordered him to stop that and he continues and makes up his own rules as he goes. (The legislature is supposed to make those rules and laws, but he ignores that.) So it is best not to travel to the US, even if you are a US citizen because none of that means anything to Trump.

This is an outright lie. Neither the UK nor Germany issued a "not to travel". All they did was tell people to follow the rules, which should be common sense. Anyone who travels internationally without doing their homework and understanding, and obeying the rules shouldn't be traveling.

Every country in the world can detain you or arrest for not following the rules. Many/most are more strict than the US.

The US has been so lax for so long that suddenly people freak out when it actually starts enforcing it's laws. That's exactly how it should be.

ICE, CBP, and other agencies aren’t deporting people who are legally here as well as following American laws there has also been mass protests wanting Trump style deportations in their countries as well.

America is a beautiful place overall if you go to the right places. Seeing our big beautiful cities as well as the beautiful small towns in between its truly something spectacular. Every state is just so unique in its own way. There are so many amazing places to see and things to do. I think people should visit…. Just legally.

Of course, the UK Home Office makes it clear that if you break the law and enter the country illegally you'll be given luxury accommodation, benefits confiscated from UK citizens - especially pensioners, disabled and veterans - a prepaid cellphone and a sparkling new £2.5million mosque in the most beautiful part of England, famous for training the Dambusters, outstanding natural beauty and the near zero number of muslims but refusing to allow one house to be structurally altered for a disabled child (White, British Citizen, Christian) in the same area.

Canada is already doing that. Travel to the USA is down significantly... they are estimating already a 4 billion loss to USA economy. I personally cancelled a trip to Myrtle Beach. Canadians did not need our Government not to go to the USA... its a no brainer when your sovereignty is under attack

I wounder why the Germans advise their citizens to not escape to a freedom loving nation as Germany plans to mobilized 800,000 troops for war with Russia and are currently seeking a replacement for the USA in NATO as they push for WWIII. The advisory simply says travelers should abide by US laws or they can get into legal trouble. How exactly is that a negative or controversial thing?

Travelers are welcome in America if they obey the laws. We Americans have to; why should we not be able to expect foreigners to do the same?
