These days, it definitely seems so.

One of my favorite t-shirts is an Eric B & Rakim one that references their song “Eric B Is President.”

It’s white with red & blue print, and it’s in the Presidential candidate/VP running mate format…

I enjoy wearing it because I see the waiting vitriol in people’s eyes as they scan who my shirt supports, and almost every time, a look of confusion then washes over them because they don’t know who it is. I’ve been asked “Who’s Eric B. Rakim?”, they think it’s one person😂

Honestly, yeah. I feel like don’t wear that unless you are going to a rally…. It isn’t worth doing it and I find it ‘cringey’.

Same with those that have bumper stickers of politicians who are not even around anymore / not even in an election season and those that fly altered American Flags.

Though everyone has their rights and personal freedoms so, I can’t blame them I guess. I will say people politicize symbols, this is specifically ‘political campaign’ merch nothing else.

I had a friend a few years ago that was in the local news after being sent home for wearing a school skirt that was too short. Backed by her mother she acted like a victim. Truth was the skirt was too short, she even rolled it up at the waste, she wanted boys attention and was getting off on being the centre of attention. Similar thing happened with a woman at a local swimming pool, a woman was asked to leave because of her swimming outfit. Same story she acted like the victim in the newspaper but though it was a one piece it was riding up her ass and you could practically she her vagina, her tits were almost flopping out. She blamed sexism but it was us women who complained.
