Is Trump purposefully generating chaos to get his own Reichstag fire?

Simply put, the Reichstag fire was the event that the nazis used as a pretext to suspend all civil liberties, turning Germany into a bona fide authoritarian fascist regime ruled by Adolf Hitler.

The arson attack on the Reichstag (which at the time, housed the german parliament, a role the building would not resume until 1999) was supposedly carried out by Marinus van der Lubbe, a Dutch communist who was caught at the scene, not long after the fire started, according to the nazis.

The nazis, who had been fomenting deep hatred for the communists through propaganda, capitalized on the event. The outrage and the fear of an imminent communist uprising amongst the population were amplified by the nazis.

The nazis used the social and political upheaval the event generated to abolish democracy in a quasi-legal fashion, allowing them to successfully pass the Enabling act —a kind of state of emergency provision — which effectively allowed Hitler (who had been sworned in as chancellor only 4 weeks before) to pass any goddamned law he wanted to without having to submit it to a parliamentary vote.

Trump, right now, is causing chaos in the United States and the world. It is possibly his wish that some sort of event or chaotic situation will occur in the near future. He is driving the economy into the ground with his stupid tariffs, firing people en masse, dousing the flames of political instability all around the world by destroying USAID, by talking of annexation of sovereign countries.

The price of gas may be cheaper (on average) than it was during Biden's administration, but it was already cheaper than it is now during the last 6 months of Biden's term. But he actually has a pretty good track record. He is an entrepreneur and that is what they do. I used to run a business and know how hard it is.
