I don’t think either party holds a monopoly on hate—but right now, I believe the toxic behavior on the Left is more pervasive and culturally influential. While the Right can be blunt, even harsh at times, the Left often cloaks harmful ideas in moral language—cancel culture, ideological conformity, censorship of dissent, and the redefinition of truth under the guise of “progress.” It’s not that the Right is innocent, but the Left’s influence has infiltrated schools, workplaces, and media in a way that makes disagreement feel dangerous. That kind of soft authoritarianism, disguised as compassion, is more damaging long-term.
