If you could write the 28th amendment of the U. S. Constitution what would it say?

Only 27 changes to a 200+ year old document (actually only 25, Prohibition was on and then off) is testament to how good the US Constitution is, and why it's been followed by many other countries since.

Now, if we could just get everyone to read it and abide by it, instead of making up their own interpretations of it. 🙄

A 28th amendment should be an expansion of the 22nd amendment that limits the President to two terms (8 years), limiting Congress to no more than four 2-year terms (8 years) and Senate to no more than two 6-year terms (12 years).

The Founding Fathers never envisioned, nor wanted, career politicians in Congress.

Mine would be to create another branch of government thats job is to ONLY investigate government employees. There will be 50 branches one for each state and each head of the branch is an elected official from that state. Each branch can investigate any government employee from any state, including other branches. They will have the highest security clearance and can investigate anyone from bad cops all the way up to the president.

They have no jurisdiction on private citizens but only against the government employees. Power back to the people..
