No, this is just a momentary snapshot. The Democrats have not yet adapted to the MAGA tactics of flushing the zone with shit. But as user gargoyle every day repeats, „see you at the midterms!“
Yeah, the DNC collectively screwed up most of the 24 election. But they live to fight another day.
Yes, their shrill screams seem to fall flat these days.

Yes BUT this new tariff policy and stock market crash is extremely dangerous for the GOP.
Praying to God almighty this is all just postering and Trump doesn’t crash the economy. Because if that happens things are going to change real quick for which political party Americans prefer.
This isn’t posturing. China will fight us as they will not open up their market and they do not want the US to tariff their products as manufacturers will leave them and hurt their economy. Countries such as Vietnam are offering to go to zero tariffs on the US or deeply reduce them. Cheap manufacturing of such things as toys or plastic items can move to the other countries just as fast as China which produced next to nothing just 25 years ago. They are scared. More complex manufacturing will want US factories for chip making and cars as they are within US borders.
This is what happened to the middle class in the US. Government officials gave our jobs away in such deals as NAFTA. Ross Perot famously said if that deal was signed you would hear a “giant sucking sound” of our jobs going to other countries. That deal devastated factory towns and families and led the way for massive drug problems and more. This is a way of gaining back some lost ground and dare I say “build back better”. The big risk is that Democrats give it all away again while telling the working poor that it is the best path to give it away again. You want middle class jobs, you can have them but there will be some upheaval as the markets adjust.
Well it would be nice if the Trump administration did a better job of EXPLICITLY communicating the end game here. The uncertainty has been horrible for the markets.
As they say, “the markets aren’t the economy”. Most people won’t notice as they don’t have any or much money in the market. Others have a lot in but won’t get hurt if they don’t jump out of the market. Now though is a good time to push into the market. I advised 2 family members to do that soon. Today China has an ultimatum from trump. They won’t do what he wants so tomorrow you will see announced much higher tariffs on China. The markets will react to this. Good time to buy. Even if we go down further it doesn’t matter as this is a good time to buy and you can’t time the markets. In 3 years this will be seen as a buying opportunity. I did something similar 5 years ago and even with the markets aren’t losses recently, I made 58% more not even counting dividends.
The end game is to get trade barriers down in other countries so we can sell our goods. And to have investments in factories here in the US to employ our people in higher paying jobs. And each of those new jobs will create other jobs in the community. It’s about jobs and higher standard of living for the poor, working class and middle class. This is real.
The thing about “bringing manufacturing back to the United States”.
Ah manufacturing has actually INCREASED in the United Stated in the last 20 years but the number of workers has only ticked up slightly. That’s simply because western manufacturing plants are becoming increasingly automated because no American manufacturing company will ever remain profitable if it hired as many laborers as they do in China. It’s not like we can get away with paying people 10 bucks a day over here.
BUT I would much rather have automated plants right here in the USA. It’s still keeping the manufacturing jobs state side and still creating jobs (albeit you need to be more educated).
But we are never going to have another ford assembly line were large swathes unskilled workers can make a decent living. If America is to remain competitive on the worldwide stage then companies will HAVE to automate.
Also trade deficits aren’t always a bad thing. So we have a trade deficit with Israel, so what? We shouldn’t be slapping them with a 10% tariff (Benjamin Netanyahu was shocked). Vietnam has also become a much more pro capitalist country. They were friendly to our administration until recently. Do we want friendly countries turning away from us and doing more business with China?
Anyway I again have liked virtually everything else Trump has done EXCEPT this tariff policy. And again I’m hoping to God the chaos is only short term.
I also don’t disagree about this being a good time to invest. I’ve bought some more crypto recently.
Also I heard about the sophisticated plan to drive investors to treasury bonds to lower their yields hence lower federal deficit with lower interest rate payments. Not counting on that working exactly as planned but it’s extremely clever.
Presently they are still harassing him with law fare. That's all they have. But sooner or later President Trump is going to refuse unconstitutional court orders (That's all of them). When he does that, he does run the risk of alienating some voters. But my suspicion is that they will be glad To see President Trump taking command. This is going to be fun. I'm going to stock up on popcorn.
Democrats have no future
older Democrats like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi are too stuck in their ways
younger Democrats like AOC and Jasmine Crockett are too unhinged
even younger future Republicans like Charlie Kirk have a brighter future
Yes, because it's become REPIGLIKSWINE (very) Lite save some courageous progressives !!!
I know Trumpsters are clowns following the Clown-In-Chief !!!
Not to mention laughing stocks 😅😮😂
Nope
Well at 21% no one seems to have faith in them or their plans really. If people don’t approve of something then they won’t listen or follow. That seems like they are irrelevant. To get to 21% they have lost the independents completely as well as the majority of Democrats. Devastating to all but those with their head in the sand.
Feb 2024 the approval rate of Congress is near 12%, which is much lower than today
