Yes.

As someone with an Economics degree, I already disagreed with the Democratic Party & their economic-policy prescriptions, but I gave them credit for, at least, trying to represent the economically-disadvantaged and diagnose causes of their issues.

But now, the party's priorities have gone into something akin to a Social Revolution, trying to alter the very language of the masses to impose a norm dictated by a statistical few. I can respect the L. G. B. T.-people as fellow-citizens with their own concerns (as different as they are from my own), but they're a mere 7.1% of the total U. S. population.

And yet, do we push for ALL the U. S. (Whites, Blacks, Latinos, First Nations, etc.) to submit to our norms? Our our morals alone the superior, solely-legitimate morals?

Majoritarianism is part of democracy. And the "justifiable" use of violence to enforce supremacy is utterly dangerous & common to 3rd-world nations where civil-wars impose losses on the masses, the labor-force, workplaces, families, and citizenry's well-being. Advanced societies have discovered conversation, debates, and words to be most effective & face-saving (so words & ideas die, not people). To fall back only spells disaster.

But the Republican Party is also issue-ridden at the moment. Both parties have taken the voters for granted. Instead of having multiple parties with set, clear platforms win, lose, and get replaced, the 2 ruling parties keep changing, get hijacked, and become increasingly corrupted.

Hence, I end-up siding more with the Republican Party more, joining in whatever still-sane Democratic initiatives are left (ex. anti-war), and coordinate with the Libertarian Party & Andrew Yang's recently-founded Forward Party, to set eventually set the stage for a better democracy. It's a long-term campaign, and we (Libertarians, as of yet) are getting people elected (in the local & State positions), even re-elected, with every election. But, with patience & persistence, it will grow… especially as ranked-choice voting becomes more widespread across the Union.
