This generation carries themselves with a culture of slang, abbreviations and colliquials which is just... dumb to me. It's a dumbing down of communication overall.
"That's wild"-Literally anything that happens.
"Cap"-Also overapplied.
"Nah FR"
"Ayoo, Bruh,"-as if anyone who says this in response to anything is hilarious.
"We stan X person/show/thing" Seriously where did that even come from?
"Fam"-Stop calling everyone family and stop being so lazy as to not say "family", it's three more letters.
"High-key low-key"-Are you just too afraid to say what you truly like or dislike, you have to disclaim with those weak mitigating expressions all the time?
"Take an L"-Again, just say loss. It's not a strain. And it the slang doesn't sound cool. Never did.
"This lives rent-free in my head, this hits different, vibe check"-1. Overused 2. Always with the tone of insincerity.
"Catch these hands"-Do I even need to say anything? It prompts eye-rolls and certainly not intimidation.
"Sus"-About even the slightest, bearest hint of something sexual in movies or actions of peoples. And it's an ugly way to say suspicious.

So many young people in "gen z" and even many of the older generation, millennials, nowadays are completely cut off from the ability to express themselves intelligently or display any sagaciousness with language. They talk as if they chew and spit out language rather than use it. Like they're desperate to be constantly entertaining or cool.
Why can't we just bring back speaking properly, and with creativity, intent and actual conveyance of meaning?

My native language is not to be considered a factor which renders my opinion void. English is the international language and I speak it fluentlgy along with an English pronounciation approved by naive speakers as being spot on. I was taught by a woman from Oxford, who was my English teacher for years and who herself described my aptitude for English as "faultless", I can imagine she speaks your shared language far better than you do. And I've authored a thesis of such quality that my tutor at university offered me a recommendation letter to Oxford. "You're not English so you can't understand anything" is quite a cave-man way of thinking.
I'm not trying, they simply are clever, if that is what you take away from them.

It evolved at the speed of walking n riding
Then it evolved at the speed of print,
The main evolution was modern TV
Then the internet and chat rooms
Now we have social media, this results in words almost being created, used and accepted in 24 hours.
At 27, you should have noticed and may likely used various non standard words in your teens.

Also example of something not being a new usage
Sus from your "Sus"-About even the slightest, bearest hint of something sexual in movies or actions of peoples. And it's an ugly way to say suspicious.

It started being used since the 1930’s, so far from young usage. I was at least 10 years ago.
A lot of modern words are often out of use older words, such as catching hands.
Fam has been used since I was at school, with the word Fam as a abv for Family being centuries old.

I sometimes just find it a bit odd. I know on Roblox in the old version, people would say yeet. And even now on Roblox they still say yeet (means to stab/throw something, mainly). I don't find everything bad though. I mean, we sometimes say vibe instead of chill in certain cases. Which I find that kind of nice.

i think it's always been the way that a new generation had new word and it has always been the way that the older generation thought these words were dumb. i personally try to accept the things the way they are and i do find their words kind of funny in a positive sense. i personally think it's the very moment when you start thinking "their words are ugly" when you transitioned into "being old". and i don't mean "being old" as a number. i mean it mentally.

Because of the wonders of the internet slang shifts faster and is more widely used therefore seen. A lot of terms being used now have been used for years, decades perhaps within various different communities and have just been popularized by gen z and the magic of the internet. A lot actually taken from African-American slang that has been around for a long time.
Slang like "ate" was used amongst African-American LGBTQ+ in the early 2000s. "Bussin" also African-American. "Cap" however dates back to 1906 by author Alfred Henry Lewis. "Sheesh" first used in 1955. "Slay" can be possibly traced back to the 1800s but definitely to the 1970's/80's in black and latinx queer culture.
