agree with trump it is our fault for allowing them to roll us over for so long. I don't blame china, china has always been china and you can count on it.

But was required to level playing field so we can compete and not drain our country continually.

Kevin O leary talks about some of the issues... and some of the comments talk about the issues to americans. when they take your products, patents... copy (steal patents and don't pay) and produce them for cheaper using state funds, build lower quality... why not no worry about law suits if someone gets hurt/killed, cheap electricity (because USA has standards), piled on costs... EPA rules, minimum wage, taxation, unemployment fees, etc etc... ya can't complete. they get the $. America is out of balance to the world and cannot compete in anything other than planes and maybe chips, although getting our head handed to us by TSMC and Samsung.

So while China piles up cash in trillion level USD's, we go into debt. that only works so long.

It is going to be painful resetting the system and Americans are going to get poorer for a while, maybe a long time. That... is the tough pill being handed.

This should have been done a long time ago. From my understanding China hasn’t been playing fair in all of this. Believe it or not people like Nancy Pelosi actually said the same thing that Trump is saying now.
In 1996 Pelosi pointed out that China charges the US about 35% on tariffs, while the US was charging China 2%. China took in only about 2% of our exports, while the US took in about a third (33%) of China’s exports. Because of this, China was able to create about 10,000,000 jobs while the US could only employ about 170,000 people as a result of the big difference between the two nations. This is part of the reason why China’s GDP is growing like crazy. Before America imposed taxes on its citizens, the gov’t collected about 85-90% of its revenue from tariffs, w some taxes (excise) on things like cigarettes and alcohol among other taxes.
I don’t fully understand everything but as I read more it makes a lot of sense. A lot of what Trump has been doing is what a lot of past politicians have done in the past. But for some reason he’s looked at as the devil. I bet not many people recall when Obama deported over 3 million illegals in his 8 year term. Or when Obama campaigned to “Cut Waste.” There’s also Clinton, who cut almost 400,000 gov’t jobs.

The U S. could win a trade war with China when they had allies, easily. When they could get all of NATO to join them and all tariff China at the same time, China would be fucked. When the U. S. had all of that outside investment pouring into their country hand over fist as they have for decades, they were invincible. The U. S. had a massive block of countries they could call on for anything. They didn't have to go bumming eggs off of Turkey. Well Trump fucked all that up. He's pissed them all off. The U. S. has no allies now. And that foreign investment is about to to dry up right quick. That's the way Trump wants it. And China knows the U. S. now has no friends and they're gonna take on the U. S. tradewise. In fact, they'll start trading more with all the NATO countries Trump has spent 3 months pissing on. Though their memes about overweight Americans trying to slap together I Phone components in swelting factories are a bit childish, there's some accuracy to them.

Well for a long time they have been smarter than us and our Politicians look how much money america owes China look how much property china owns in the united states Look at the things that they can build and they invent Even making money off of us for a long time If there's a fair negotiation I don't think there should be a problem But it has to be fair for both countries
