I don't understand why anyone would criticize a governor for meeting with the President to discuss things that would affect their state. Maybe the Democrats are afraid Whitmer is defecting to the Republicans, following in Tulsi Gabbard's footsteps.

If Whitmer defects to the republicans, it would be the fault of the democrats themselves

Whitmer is the governor of Michigan which is home to the American car industry. Trump's tariffs will benefit the car industry greatly so this will help her constituents. At least she shows a little appreciation.

This is Trump we are talking about, the mega-Hitler of the left. It is not surprising if democrats are throwing a fit over it. I am no fan of Whitmer but if she is showing appreciation, then I will give her credit because it is due.
