Question

While the stock market trembles and the naysayers cry over Trump’s tariffs and the short-term dip in stock prices, I’ve been doing what MAGA wants us to do: Buy American.

Recently, I needed a new kitchen knife and dinnerware set—not exactly a political statement, right? Well, not so fast.

Is this butcher knife🔪too Patriotic for the Woke Mobs taste?

Instead of ordering cheap imports, I dug a little deeper and found the kind of quality you just don’t get from overseas factories. First up: Lamson’s Vintage Chef’s Knife—a work of art, hand-finished in Massachusetts. Just look at this rich walnut handle, and solid brass rivets. Hand-forged in fire, it feels like holding a piece of American history. Lamson’s been doing this for over 180 years.

For my silverware, I went with Liberty tabletop silver. They are the last, yes the last flatware manufacturer in the United States. Their 24-piece set is polished to a mirror finish, and it feels like something that belongs in a home where craftsmanship still matters. I paid handsomely for them, but what is the price of dignity and sovereignty?

While the elites obsess over market volatility, I’m putting my money where my values are—into the hands of real Americans.

Hard-working folks who don’t want their taxes funding:

Gender neutral bathrooms
Sex change operations for lab mice
Use of the federal justice system to man-hunt ex-Presidents
DEI programs
Enhanced unemployment benefits
Critical race theory

Hard-working Americans who produce products like this DESERVE BETTER.

My kitchen might not look “woke,” but it sure looks FREE. I will enjoy every bite of the ideology that feeds my soul.

FYI: the “transgender mice” thing was a lie, or they’re retarded and don’t know what they’re talking about, one or the other.

What really happened is there were “transGENIC” mice, which means mice were injected with human cells that would replicate within their bodies, and in turn, the hope is that the mice’s cells would respond more like a human’s cells would, for the purpose of medical research for diseases like cancer.

I won’t even get started on the other stuff, but if you added all those things up and divided the total cost by 160,000,000, the approximate amount of federal income tax payers (this is to say nothing of other brands of taxes we pay), you’d probably find that it breaks down to cents, if not fractions of cents, out of your pocket. Like that first entire list DOGE put out, of supposedly wasteful spending, and it literally worked out to like $4.36 per person. I lose more than that in my couch cushions. So when you think of it like that, it seems much more like it’s about bigotry and giving certain demographics a hard time than it is about saving money, because it’s an amount you wouldn’t even notice if it was returned to you, and that’s assuming DOGE was even honest/competent, which as is evidenced by the “transgender mice” nonsense, they are not.

In the short term, would you mind telling my parents that are losing their retirement savings they worked their whole lives for, to go back to work in their 70s because Trump wants to play with their money in the short term. They still have bills to pay now.

Fyi if you haven't replaced everything in your home including the nails and screws and wood holding your home up, you're a communist. If you really were a patriot, you'd tear your house down and get everything that you need replaced with American everything including all parts. You could do this if you wanted to. Only a real American would refuse to live in a place thet that's lumber or steal from Canada, screws from China, etc.

The knives may have been made in the USA, but if you think the supply chain is that simple then I don't know what to tell you.

As one of many examples, the stainless steel Lamson uses comes from Germany, and therefore as of recently is absolutely subject to the 25% tariffs imposed on such imports. Depending on whether they eat the difference themselves or pass it on to the consumer (because the supplier certainly will raise prices to cover it), either the American business or the consumer will be impacted. Likely both in some capacity.

That is, clearly, a chef’s knife. It has that deep chin to allow space for your knuckles while working on a cutting board. That shape is just about useless for butchering. A butcher’s knife is designed to be used to cut a carcass, not julienne carrots.

I shop pretty exclusively at Amazon. com. Everything I have bought there Over the last few years has been made in China. Every now and again it is Vietnam., Brazil or Pakistan. I am going to have to discipline myself to buy American and be willing to pay more for it. I am spoiled by cheap foreign made goods. I have been bought by the Communist Chinese.

It is not always possible. I had the last TV that was made in the USA. Ironically it was made by Sony. This was 30 years ago. I put the TV out on the curb a few years ago. It still worked and one of my neighbors has it.
