Democrats are infighting after losing the Presidential election, after forcing Biden out, and them pushing Kamala Harris as a replacement. Why?

I can't believe that Democrats thought that Harris would be successful as a Presidential candidate to oppose Trump? Does that make any sense, and did they not have anyone else to put up to run... or were they just desperate?

The democrats really do not have anyone that would be a good candidate. Gavin Newsome has run California into the ground. In a debate with Ron DeSantis, DeSantis made him look ridiculous. Cory Booker is a joke. Michelle Obama says she is not interested and Oprah would not want the cut in pay.
Gov Shapiro seems pretty rational but he would have to grow a personality. They really are not the party of excellence.

I'm just looking at this outwardly from Japan but it's all very comical, and deeply frustrating, to me. Something seemed to have gone wrong with the Democrats. Bill Clinton was the last okay one in my estimate, even though he seriously messed us GS act and arguably most directly caused the GFC. But he ran on policies and not character.

Biden hung on too long. Harris was put in a tough spot. And yes the Democrats have zero bench to go to. It’s the same with Republicans. Neither party has done Jack shit as far as succession planning.
