Why is it that Russia recognizes Easter — but the woke left can't even define what a holiday means anymore?

While Russia just paused its military operations in Ukraine out of respect for the Orthodox Easter holiday, the left here in the U. S. seems to roll its eyes at anything remotely traditional or faith-based.

Think about that. A country actively engaged in war will stop to honor Easter — while our own institutions debate whether it's even appropriate to say "Merry Christmas" or hang up nativity scenes in public spaces.

This isn't about endorsing Putin or glorifying authoritarian regimes — it's about asking why a supposed enemy is more willing to observe religious tradition than the cultural elite here at home.

Russia sees Easter as worth honoring. But in progressive circles, the only thing worth celebrating is the next invented micro-identity holiday. Maybe the woke left can learn something from our supposed enemy -- have some respect!
