That's the point. That "extreme" version of climate change that you're eluding to isn't happening, and it's not going to happen. If this was really as serious of an issue as you're suggesting, environmentalists and others on the left en masse would be calling for the end of just about all international air travel and cruise ship services. Instead, they go after commuters, shower heads, and pizza ovens.

My comment was that the extreme version of climate change that you're eluding to isn't happening and won't happen. I never stated that there's zero climate change. The climate is, always has been, and continues to change, and we adapt. Did you watch the videos? My additional evidence is the numerous "climate change is going to end the world in 10, 25, 50, 100, etcetera years" predictions that climate extremists and environmental extremists put out a few times a year, every year. Many of those wrong predictions and their deadlines have come and gone, with no accountability. How long do they get to cry wolf?

Just because something didn't happen in the past doesn't mean it will not happen in the future. It may not be "water up to your neck" as I said, but it may be extremely destructive based on the best predictions. To some degree, it is happening now. My roses have been blooming since the biggining of February here in SoCal. What does that tell you?

What you call "the best predictions" have been wrong numerous times. Paranoia isn't science. Roses blooming early is weather, not climate, and more plants means more oxygen for all us to breathe.

I'm not suggesting that we swing the pendulum completely in the other direction and just all start/continue living like slobs. Complaining about air conditioners and dishwashers aren't serious answers either. That's gaslighting people for money, control, and power. The pandemic actually gave us the real answers. Virtually eliminating international air travel and cruise ships. Don't you remember seeing the record-low pollution numbers in late 2020, and the clean atmosphere images from places like India when international flights and the cruise ship industry were both shut down? It wasn't from less commerce on cargo ships and diesel trucks, because both of those were all-time highs during the pandemic, because we were all "Amazon-ing" ourselves all sorts of shit out of lockdown boredom. It's also true that most of us weren't commuting to and from work during the pandemic shutdown, but most of those people were already using mass transit prior to the pandemic.

If climate activists and environmental advocates really want to put a dent in pollution that's actually meaningful, virtually eliminating international air travel and cruise ship voyages are the best answers. Going after straws, toilet paper, and all those other things I've already mentioned that everyday people use are a petty and nonsensical waste of time.
