The levels of CO2 in the atmosphere are often pointed out as a main cause of Climate Change, and why we should be concerned about it.
But should we be concerned? Note that current time is on the far right on the graph, with relatively low CO2 levels, compared to other time periods.

The problem with questions like this is there's a tendency for people to tow political lines rather than scientific ones. My viewpoint is the climate naturally changes but that doesn't mean it's OK for us to affect it.
On a personal note I have to keep an eye on parasite levels, usually they die off this time of year but things aren't as seasonal anymore. The older farmers and vets have all noticed it. That's more pests and diseases across the industry which means higher shop prices for you.

The taxes go up. They never come down once the government is shown to be full of shit. And they always are.
It's all smoke and mirrors. Distraction designed to keep the population scared. Like "healthcare" is designed to keep us sick.
A healthy, educated population is far harder to manipulate. The environment only became an issue once it became apparent Communism wasn't the threat they hoped it'd be long term. So climate comes along as a way to control people by making them afraid so they don't see the things they should actually be aware of until it's too late.

Yes, you idiot, because every human civilization has all been in the last couple of pixels of that graph. The world's not going to end, there will probably still even be life on it, but most people seem to think that civilization is a good thing that needs protecting.

We should also be worried that Republicans renamed Global Warming as Climate Change because it sounds less scary.
Did you know they switched from global warming to global cooling in the 50s or 60s? Suddenly hearing the opposite made a lot of people realize they were full of shit. In order to keep being able to make these ridiculous claims, they had to stop specifying which it was.
@egan3141 A few papers in the 1970s talked about a new ice age, but they weren't in the majority, and they haven't been vindicated. The others have.

Absolutely not!!! It doesn't exist!! Didn't we prove that 50 years ago when we were SUPPOSED to have had another ice age because of climate change? Weren't they saying, about 25 years ago, that we only had 12 years left?

Climate change, like racism, misogyny and income inequality, exists. The trouble is, like its three contemporaries, it isn't anywhere near being a big enough problem to justify destroying the entire western world.

Given what we know about CO2 , CH4 and H2O as gasses in the atmosphere and the impact on temperature and subsequent effects of weather, yes there's a problem.

Yes, the beer companies have been complaining about a lack of CO2. I am not too worried about it. In a few years we will all of a sudden have the horrendous winters we had when I was a kid.
My town had one just 7 or so years ago. Last year was a good winter too. This year is a super mild winter. It changes every year.

The kids got bored of playing snow, it was that bad! But, no, hardly anyone "froze to death" in Europe, if anyone at all. It's more complicated than "it's a degree warmer everywhere", it's all about disrupted weather patterns that have been stable for centuries. Texas got frozen (and, because of Republican stubbornness, couldn't provide power to keep their citizens alive), droughts, floods.

Yes we should be concerned. Its getting hotter and hotter winter are getting shorter it's only a matter of time before all of this warm weather starts having adverse effects on the planet
