How high or low is your self esteem? Also explain why?

I've got decent self-esteem because I always had parents who told me I looked good, my schoolwork was good, planned to give me a college education, took me on educational summer vacations, helped me with homework, took me to the library to check out books. They were patient and loving.

I also had kind and generous grandparents who were also emotionally supportive. Lived in a lovely home, had good neighbors, industrious, smart, funny and kind relatives. Good teachers, priests, nuns. Good schools.

From kindergarten to graduate school, I've had maybe two bad teachers. The best teachers were as supportive, smart, kind and funny as my parents! And lastly, great friends!

That network of support, love, generosity, humor and kindness make all the difference!

Very very very high… almost to the point of arrogant.
why? Because I don’t care what others think. I make good decisions based on the good of the whole vs.. what I am being told.
such as… I told the judge that the court system is set up to keep couples fighting not the best interest of the children. And that I will not continue to fall into that trap. So I stop going to court and not fighting for child support.
kids and I and ex are in much better place. And I don’t get a dime when he makes much more than I.
I teach the kids to learn to survive with less and build on their other strengths and not let the society pity us. Now the kids are growing up with high self worth!!

It's improving. I went through a really dark phase about a year ago after a 2 year issue with my employer and even after winning against them I was destroyed and was all set to end it. Until I thought about the poor soul who would find me, the ones who would have to tell my family and others but NOT because of the impact it would have had on that very family and friends.
THAT was a massive shock that I had placed the sensitivities of strangers above that of people I know and of myself.

A year and a bit on and quitting that place as well as plotting a way out of here has built up things a bit but still even today there are times when I hate tf out of myself.

Pretty low! I'm naturally very hairy in my armpits and pubes, even from my scholl time, inviting many Oohs in the locker room. I used to try to remove it but a few years ago, when I started nude yoga, my self esteem increased by bound and so did my confidence in many aspects.

Pretty high. Why? Because I'm playing chess while most people are playing checkers. While others were choosing between door number 1, 2, and 3 and chasing the fabulous prizes I've quietly been building and stacking paper. Now while my peers are on thier second marriage or trying to recover from a brutal divorce that left thier finances in shambles wondering if they're ever going to be able to retire. I'm reclining and appreciating the fruits of 30 years. Of hard work and investment. I know some women will try to gaslight me. Playing the same schoolgirl tricks that might have worked 35 years. ago. But the reality IS I know my worth. I know I'm what much of women are looking for now. But the reality is that most of them have so little to offer me.

I've won the game. Now I'm just running up the score for the fun of it.

I know I will never be a media star, nor have tens of millions of dollars. That is reserved for a small fraction of the one percent. I know I can't compete with those people, so I never try. However, I am confident that I am better looking than eighty percent of women and more intelligent than ninety percent of the population, and that I will have a good life. Therefore, within those limits, I have high self-esteem.

Mine is pretty high.
I have proved myself time and time again over the years, I have made a difference in a great number of people's lives.
They people I work with are the best on the planet, but I'm sure every shift says the same thing all across the US.
I cannot think of any job that I would love more than the one I have.
While we are not always successful, we always give everyone 200% of what we have to give, and to families that means a lot to them.

It's pretty high right now. It was low after my break up but after going through therapy and getting self love advice and a book to read on it and practicing it daily, it has grown tremendously.

I have incredibly high self-esteem. I am god’s gift to the world and came to that conclusion once I was able to thoroughly analyze why the society I lived in wanted me to hate myself and how incorrect and silly it was.

It doesn't exist. I was never taught growing up to love myself, I never had a reason or a chance to learn it until adulthood, and even then life kicked me in the teeth so often I never was able to understand it.
