Do you have a low self-esteem?

When I first traveled abroad, I entered this room and a couple men stood up on their feet and gasped "Oh... ", I thought they gasped because of how ugly they thought I was and I felt like getting my eyes teary and then one of them said "You're so pretty". I was surprised as I never thought or think I was.

After break up, I was even wearing sunglasses because I thought my eyes didn't look pretty enough to show to people. I am happy this time is left behind and I have a little more confidence these days and I no longer feel ashamed of showing myself.

To be precise, there's nothing wrong with my eyes, I was just thinking they looked lifeless hence why I was wearing sunglasses.

Regarding looks most people look average which is a good thing,

to be honest too, The only thing that makes a person ugly is if that person suffers from obesity, being under weight or has any type of deformity.

One time I sew a lecture of a professor on psychology and his lecture was on how self esteem (high or low) isn’t a mental illness and how it is a healthy response that a human suffers from when he/she is not good at something or didn’t do their best.

What I mean by giving this example is that self esteem can’t define a personality as a whole but a certain weakness at a certain point in time and it lasts depending on the outcome of improvement and it’s results.

If that's your picture you look fabulous. I had very poor self-esteem in my twenties. Eventually I got counseling and it helped a lot. Have you considered that? How was your home life growing up?

Thanks. It was good, It was just my brother was always praised for his looks and I was praised for my mind, so I always thought I had less looks than the rest of my family.

I have low self esteem due to my transformation as I was white and fit when I was a child but now as a adult I am tanned brown, skinny and hairy now I wish I was fit and white just like when I was a child

I have low self Esteem, continued on from my teens cos I was fat and was a loner due to autism anxiety and I always thought myself girls will never fancy me etc :( altho I have had a girlfriend and she did 😆

Comparing yourself to a beauty standard will get women all the time! Sorry. If my woman has an issue with confidence due to her not “FEELING” pretty that is a red flag for me.
