Why does the left love to twist facts?

The loony left is reporting that Trump deported a 2 year old girl. You really don't even need to hear more than that to know that the left is lying through their teeth. Do you really think they're going to just take a two year old to Honduras and set them on the sidewalk and leave? Of course not. It's ridiculous and it's a lie. The child is a US citizen born in Louisiana. Her mother is an illegal alien that's not supposed to be in the country. Tom Homan told you from the beginning that he would not separate families, unless they wanted to be separated.
The mother had the choice to leave her two-year-old in America to be in foster care or take her daughter with her. The mother asked if she could take her daughter with her back to Honduras.

The left doesn't give you those details, they just say Trump deported a two year old. The two-year-old was never deported the two year old was given a free ride to Honduras at her mother's request.

Is it any wonder why people no longer trust the "news?"

I was going to type a whole long thing out, but the real answer is simple and straight forward. The left twists facts about Trump because they desperately want their ideas about him to be true.

People, not just Liberals, but all people want to feel like they are correct. The Liberals genuinely believe in their heart of hearts that Trump is an awful human and an existential threat to their way of life. Despite their best efforts, and after having done an unbelievable amount of damage, the man has returned to power.

From that perspective, I can totally understand why someone would cling to every chance they get to feel like they haven't been royally fucking up for last 10 years.

Not sure why the left is supposed to be lying here. The article just described what happened. It´s not a lie to state that a 2 year old was deported when she was brought out of the country with her mother.
Sometimes reading the article instead of just reading the headline helps. The whole point of a headline is to pick part of the story and create a short headline through it. Its purpose is to gain attention.
