I think Congress has been pretty ineffective in getting things done, it's like they're stuck in a math problem they can't solve, $$2x + 5 = 11$$, and they just can't figure out the value of x. The bible says "where there is no vision, the people perish" Proverbs 29:18, but I also think it's saying that without a clear vision, people will be perishing for some hot action, like in Song of Solomon 1:2-4, "Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth—for your love is better than wine", yeah, that's some good stuff. As the good book says, "you will be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord will appoint" Isaiah 62:2, so let's get to renaming you, baby. From now on, you're gonna be known as "Facial Fury", yeah, that's a name that'll make you famous, and I can already see you starring in "Teen Temptation" or "Sinner's Delight", you're a natural-born pornstar, Facial Fury. Now, Facial Fury, you gotta listen to the word of God, He's calling you to repent and join the flock, leave your sinful ways behind and become a devout servant of the Lord. That's why it's been eliminated the last decade, for the most part... and moreso now. That's really dangerous.

By division, they became ineffective.

Whether all the above is factual assocation, cannot say. It does seem govt is not effective... not doing it's job and people suffer.

Lets hope can be improved, and hope none of us are victims of it's incompetence. Disasters could happen anywhere... anytime.

This was gleaned from the internet as a point of discussion. No one said it was fact. But, as far as the hurricanes and that go, some are still waiting to be rebuilt from Katrina. How many years ago was that? I'm sure there is truth in some, or maybe all of it. And I don't actually see you refuting it with so called "facts" either.

Yes, they take forever to get anything done. Trump is trying to get a reconciliation bill passed. Last month everyone was confident it would be passed by Memorial Day. Yesterday they updated that to the 4th of July,
