A lot of immigrants were dropped off in a defeated part of the world so they could settle and they did only to become a sponsored state that had very militaristic ideology so they made "might is right" become a way of life for the indigenous and local populations who'd been there for centuries. They pissed those locals off to a large extent because they had the backing of a superpower who supplied them with weapons in a war between ideologies of superpowers so there was never going to be peace. It's gotten better at times but still the immigrants refuse to quit breaking international laws on settling in locals land and property because the locals don't have access to weapons but the immigrants still have wealthy foreigners supporting them from a world super power.

No, Israel is not “defending” themselves. They’re dropping bombs on land that doesn’t belong to them. And if it does belong to them, well that explains why they’re trying to wipe out to people of gaza… to reclaim their so called owned land
