Why is there a parenting problem in this country?

A lot of young adults, mostly Male are getting in trouble legally. And they resist police which gets them more charges. This is not a race or anything else in that matter. I just feel parenting is at a low. Kids have no respect for authority. Your thoughts?

Young males are stupid. Unregulated, often intoxicated time bombs tbh. No doubt. But yes, a lack of HOW to deal with LEOs & a stunning unawareness of their rights also conspire to inflame situations - situations that ACAB "gods among men" cops exacerbate & escalate 99.8% of the time.

I don’t think kids should have respect for authority. Obviously don’t do any stupid shit that can land you in prison or worse but teaching your kids to respect someone just because they have “authority” over you is absurd. Respect is earned not given.

No obeying an officers commands can get you in more trouble though. You gotta do what they say. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like stuff police do but I wouldn’t wanna dig a big hole for myself

Society is in decay. Too many selfish people who think life is all about money or themselves leads to problems. Far as "authority" such as the government: it's foolish to blindly believe what they say. Time & time again they have done horrible stuff while covering it up but railroad others on false charges.

I suppose by "this country" you mean the United States. This is not new. There have always been lawless youth in the US. Go watch "West Side Story", based on Romeo and Juliet, but the gangs of the Lower East Side were real.

Parents do not want to raise their own kids.. Having kids is not as much fun as they show you on TV.
