There are a lot of stupid, hate filled, ignorant, uneducated, people in the USA who feel ostracized and angry because society isn't working for them. They have been manipulated by propaganda to focus that aim away from the people screwing them over and towards brown people. They actually idolize the rich and believe that if they give the Oligarchs "more" their tormentors will take care of them. Like I said, these people are fundamentally stupid.

And then they gut labor law protections and minimum wage laws to install "right to work laws", abolish workplace safety regulations and enforcement, and roll back pollution laws to the mid 20th century. There is a lot of anger out there and anger makes people do strange things. Sometimes even work against your own best interests. But we also live in a society now where people expect instant results... we get out food delivered instantly so why can our government not deliver instant results and solve all our problems quickly? But this is not reasonable. Change takes time. Especially when your government has so many checks and balances as the USA does. Thus many people get angry and vote with emotion... hoping that any change will improve things quickly. Even supporting a leader like Trump. But I think that strategy is self destructive for most Americans.
