Is it true that books about non-white characters are being banned in many parts of the US?

How absurd. I haven't heard a word about such nonsense.

I've heard about banning certain books in some school districts - mostly pro-LGBTQ garbage. I've also heard of certain classics like Grapes of Wrath, Catch 22, Lord of the Flies, The Great Gatsby, Catcher in the Rye, 1984, Animal Farm, ... being banned.
I don't know why.
Also, leftists want to ban certain books like The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn for having non-PC language.

But I never heard about books with "non-white" characters being banned.

I and, I think, most people oppose the banning of books. If anything, they don't want LGBTQ smut taught to school children.

Not true at all. Some radical leftist run schools are removing classic American literature from their classes and libraries, and many more center and right leaning state schools are extending anti-porn policies towards LGBTQ propaganda books in lower grade (elementary school) levels, but that's it. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is either outright lying, or leaving out very important context.

Yes, stories that include gay characters are being banned and burned even if the book has nothing to do with it. Just having a black character can get it banned. Government websites frequently removed any references to anyone black, even if they were a war hero. Trump assumes that anything about minorities needs to be removed because they don't deserve any recognition even if they should.

No that's not true. There is no banned books, with the exception of adult theme books are not allowed in children's schools, but the books themselves are not banned.
