I still marvel we made it this far considering how truly fragile we are...
Menustration. A lot of mammals in the animal kingdom who shed the lining of tbe uterus just... take it back in. We human women have to bleed it out to get rid of it.
Another thing is how exposed our throats are. There's a sliver of cartilage and skin around there and that's it. Totally useless, one good slash and we're done.
Not to mention how men's equipment is right outside the door with essentially zero built in protection.
Something more controversial but ironic to me is actually how the psychological tactics we developed over time is now good fuel for stuff like racism and a lot of logical fallacies we just believe in almost subconsciously. Some of it has merit but the fears that helped us then don't help us all that much now.22 Reply- 1 y
We are prisoners of evolution. No doubt.

If you know about the Golden Ratio that was mentioned in the book, The DaVinci Code, it shows how everything about the body is perfectly proportional. I don’t know how to explain because I read that long ago, but it you measured limbs in the body and divided by a number, you always come out with the same answer. Ie the length of your upper arm, your femur, and so on if measured and then divided by a decimal number, it will be a certain number. It’s called the Divine Principle.14 Reply- 1 y
Agree & know about all of the above. We are a marvel. We are a mess.

1 yI think it's the giving birth thing. who the heck came up with that design... what a... wait, some similar designer also created the chicken. Chickens laying eggs that hatch into things that can be fed and run around shortly thereafter... far superior. No more c-sections or abortions!
I highly recommend we initiate investment R&D to cross a human with a chicken so future generations can be hatched. Then when you see a hot something walking down the street can acurately quip "... check out that hot chick"!!
If ya don't like your kid under the micro scan, just hard boil and eat them. That's way better than abortion and giving birth. blech!
That's what chickens do too!!

Bearing completely helpless babies. Baby animals can stand up and walk shortly after birth. As we humans adapted from a forest life to a life in the savanna, walking on two legs became an advantage. But being able to walk far for food and run fast from predators, our hips had to became narrower, so narrow that our babies are born before their brains are fully developed.

u 1 yHow close the vagina and butthole are together. Not only does that cause problems with sex, but it creates a huge flaw with giving vaginal birth. Many women suffer from anal problems following giving birth.

Excellent point. It's a fucked up gestation & delivery method compared to other possibilities.

1 yOur brains. The vast majority of fatalities are caused by thinking. Every war has started because someone thought it was a good idea. Every time you get in a car you risk a head on collision because someone thinks overtaking on blind bend is a good idea. Cemeteries are full of people who died before their time because of thinking something was a good idea. No village idiot has ever started a war or crashed an economy.
The human body is perfectly designed for long distance endurance running, but we sit on our arses all day and eat pizza, we behave like bears fatting up for the winter because we ignore our nature and think.00 Reply - 3.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
1 yWell the knee joint is quite prone to get injured and have tears.
Things don't grow back. If something is severed it is gone forever.
If the spinal cord is damaged it doesn't heal like any other part of the body, you can just never move again.
Pain is good to keep you from walking on a broken leg but you can be tortured. You can have no way to avoid the thing that is killing you and getting medical treatment is not an option, getting away from the danger/harm is not an option yet the pain is still there. If you are trapped in a burning car... your body still tortures you to death as you burn.
Pain is too high. Pain is good in some capacities as I have stated above. It causes you to avoid things that damage your body and gets you to stop using injured parts and to seek care... but the levels of pain go too high. It can go into areas of unimaginable screaming agony. The levels of pain that can be felt is just too high.

Anonymous(18-24)1 yFemale reproductive organs. When our ancestors starting to walk upright there were certain evolutionary trade offs for women which makes childbearing very difficult and dangerous. There's a reason b4 modern medicine women died so often in childbirth and there was so many children dying in childbirth. Few animals if any have the same problems as human women when it comes to child birth.

1 yI could talk about issues that come with prostates especially when men get older in the ‘urination department’, women having painful period cramps, men having exposed testicles that are so sensitive from the lightest hit down there, and more.
I don't know what the worst would be, just these are a good example….
Wisdom teeth & Appendixes also suck!
10 Reply 555 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Not strictly applicable. It isn't designed, so it doesn't make sense to treat it was though it were. It is just a result of piling up adaptations haphazardly on top of each other for a billion years. Meanwhile old adaptations just sorta degrade or get repurposed and leave half-formed remnants of past functionality all over the place.
I suppose if I have to pick on anything specific to humans as comes to mind... it would be the Y Chromosome... seeing as it is basically an X Chromosome jury-rigged to be something different, which renders most of its initial functionality inoperable, and consequently there are various ailments that men get far more often than women because if something deleterious is on the X Chromosome then we don't have any sort of allele buffer against its expression.00 Reply5.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I would say it's the fact that we're prone to diseases, we can have accidents and we die.
You're absolutely right about us being truly fragile. We're probably the most fragile beings on Earth.
30 ReplyHaha yeah it amazes me that men's bots are so dangly and exposed! Most animals have it tucked away right? Like horses and dogs and I can't think of seeing a gorilla running around dangling? It's kinda crazy!!

Amazes me as a man having our testicles defenseless too, you women are smarter keeping the goods inside rather than outside. Sports and Combat, we are at a disadvantage….

1 yIn females... putting the anus and vagina so close to each other, too easy to access the wrong hole
In males... using the same tube in the penis for urination and ejaculation, so difficult to pee when you're erect

The male plumbing situation makes functional sense if you keep in mind that sperm is highly vulnerablle to acid and urine is highly acidic. The fact that piss goes through the same pipes makes sure those same pipes don't end up blocked, so to speak. There could be all sorts of unpleasant medical complications if they weren't using the same plumbing.

It was the devil possessing a serpent. I know you think it's a fairy tale. But when you find out it's true and that God can not tell a lie, YOU'RE the one that's going to feel foolish and forever. God don't make mistakes. Our bodies are designed to perfection. There's no better for the physical world.
And look, no hands! Our spirit stays in our body without us doing anything to hold it there.
I wish you had the guts to seek God. You're actually a fairly decent guy for a teacher. - 1 y
That's where the disconnect is! I have the guts to say I don't know rather than fiction I can't question.
