Even with everything provided, there will always be those who want more than what they need. They might take from others or harm others to get "more."

What Cain wanted was more love and favor from God, which his brother had because he gave his sacrifices with joy and generosity. And Cain became angry.

Where there is emotional want there will be those who take advantage of others. Has nothing to do with money, per se. But this is the source of crime: want. Usually want from being unfulfilled and the person not knowing how to fulfill themselves. They mistakenly think that THINGS will solve their problems: money, food, drink, drugs, a lover.

But fulfillment comes from within. Until people discover this and focus on doing good for themselves as well as others, and learn how to deeply satisfy themselves, there will be crime. In addition, some people are psychologically damaged so badly they will never be able to get to that place of fulfillment. So that is another reason for crime.

Because of those factors, crime is unlikely to ever end. We can only do our best to enable most people to find their gifts and fulfill themselves.

In societies that don't use money you still have as much crime and corruption as you do in any other society.

Money is the root of a lot of evil that's for sure. Money = power and humans are fantastic at abusing power. But would we still see crime in a post scarcity society where everyone would have everyTHING they want? Yes, just fewer crimes.

There would still be crimes of passion. "Iffin I cain't have you then nobody kin have you". That kind of shit. People coveting someone else's girlfriend or boyfriend. Assholes abusing their kids or spouse. People doing illegal drugs. People driving high or drunk. There are plenty of crimes that do not revolve around money and a few things money can't necessarily buy.

Well, it would take away the theft part of it, but you would still have people that still like to be a bully or a murderer and rapist since they’re still a lot of bad people out there whether it’s money motivated or not. You’re always going to have the type of people that want to be in charge or in power. It’s kind of like the people in the movie “River world” where everything was given to them, but you still had people that wanted to be in power and boss people around or kill unfortunately

Don't get me wrong... it would be far better all round and quality of life would be drastically improved for everyone except the current financial elite... BUT there would still be crime.

Mostly only things like rape and murder but you'd probably still have lazy assholes steal shit from someone else rather than to get up off their lazy as and go get one themselves. Or, if somebody had something quite rare and someone else wanted it.

Of course. Because money isn't anything. It's just a unit of measure. This is like asking if feet or meters didn't exist would you still have to walk places. Eliminating the unit of measure doesn't eliminate what it measures.

Yes. Not all crime is financially motivated. Things like violence or rape for example. There would be LESS crime but it would not eliminate crime.
