Protecting wildlife is important, and people understand as there are rangers all over the world.
I wonder if people would show up on time for work. What are things that may not have turned out well in a free society?
You've been reading too much fiction, sunny. There NEVER has been a free society, let alone one without some form of currency.
Even bandit outposts and lawless jungles have laws and rules enforced by their denizens. So get it out your head there is any such thing as "free" what you mean is "laws and rules I can live under"
As for currency, it's the basic tenet of any society.
That might work and be wonderful if the whole population cooperates.. which is an impossible event in reality
Without money specifically?
Sure. Some other barter system would take over.
Free societys doesn't exist and never has. So no.
