They are absolutely necessary to maintain a good neighbourhood to live in just like PTA boards for schools, the problem being is the people that end up on them become drunk with self importance and they've absolutely no common sense and use the postion to try to bully and push their own intrests. Our first place their was no HOA and we had a neighbour who just terrorised everyone, eventually my husband shot his dog after it being repeatedly let out to shit on our lawn. The 2nd place was a nightmare, we hadn't even moved jn and were getting fines for grass not being cut, open trash containers and moving vans being parked outside. The place we live now the HOA is pretty good.

Everyone giving a fuck is how you destroy Karen's.
I should mention i was defaulted president of my own HOA. Everyone else is basically a dinosaur. I'm the only one left that can draw a clock.

Absolutely. Way to much time for women to sit around and complain that they aren't in control while also choosing to not be in control. HOAs are some of the worst places to do work for.
