Yeah, my ex's bday was the day after Christmas. He hated it. Never had a birthday party because all the kids were too busy with their family and playing with their new toys and stuff.
My birthday is the day after our national holiday. My birthday is not overshadowed at all. But there is no one to celebrate it. I am happier this way. Because I hate fake birthday celebrations.
Nope mine is Christmas eve
I don't do more than a Scotch, steak and a cigar and expect no extra involvement or parties and gifts
I therefore don't care to celebrate anyone else's
If you're invested in your birthday then yes it's depressing. Throw yourself a party then!
The only problem I see is a 33 y/o whining about their birthday. It's weird tbh.

So have a party not on your birthday. And Memorial Day moves, it’s not near your birthday every year.
I don't have that problem, but I can see why it could bother some people.
I don't celebrate birthdays. That's for kids
Wife's bday is Nov right before Christmas
