Trump vs The Court. Who wins?

Question

This morning the news reported that a Federal court has ruled that his tariff policy is against the law. Do you think Trump will have to give up on his Tariff policies if he looses the appeal trial?

The corruption of the Republican party knows few limits. They have been stacking the courts for decades, appointing judges based not on qualifications but instead on ideology. Clarence Thomas is the most obvious example. He's a legal lightweight. It was 10 years before he asked his very first question from the bench. The judiciary is littered with similar incompetents at every level. Municipal, county, state, district and so on.

Ultimately, I think the courts will win. People make decisions to break the laws. Eventually, they will be held in contempt. A night in jail will surely instill a new respect for the constitution when a mid level agency official is deciding to ignore the courts or have dinner with his wive and kids.

He wins either way

Tariffs or not he’s already disrupted the international market which was his goal all along

Trump is not as stupid as he looks and sounds: these are all calculated moves that he does knowing full well what might happen

It’s just like the border wall that he never built

The publicity served it’s purpose

Sounds like he will need to introduce a bill to prevent unelected Federal judges from interfering in democracy and of course if any judges are being leaned on or bribed by politicians or wealthy elites they should be locked up.

He already lost permanently about 40 years ago:

- connection to reality, and to the present.

Which does not mean that some court ''wins''; courts only examine rules when there's a complaint and then come to a conclusion.

There's 3 1/2 more years to see if ''America'' can be made great (for once) - I doubt it.

So the only 'winners' will be those who manage to adapt to the NOW, instead of contemplating the WAS.

Trump has never done anything in his life that benefits someone else unless they are in the rich boys club. Not ever. If he's doing a thing, you can count on it being ONLY for the benefit of wealthy people, at the expense of some other group. The courts know this.

Yet another person who has absolutely no understanding of how our system works. Trump cannot pass a bill getting rid of federal judges any more than he can pass a bill getting rid of Congress, both of which he would like to do, I suspect.

The Cout of Appeals has suspended the action of the federal court for now. Hopefully by the time this grinds thrpugh the court, President Trump will have enough trader deals done so that it wlil be a moot point.

So far Trump doesn't have a good record of complying with the courts. But I think the tariff situation will probably be resolved due to economic factors before it's done going through the courts.
