Biden commuted the sentences of 37/40 Fed. death row inmates to life imprisonment. Any more hot air about Pres. Trumps pardons?

I recently read a post critical of Donald Trumps 'Pardons" and how 'excessive" they were? How soon some forget OR IGNORE COMPLETELY, what the Biden Admin. did during the last month of his?Presidency? (if we dare call it that) Think about that -- 37 of 40 death sentences commuted to life by this half wit. Think about that, if you were a survivor of those murdered, and then dare wise off about president Trumps "pardons"

Biden Pardoned more death row inmates than any President in recent history... and yet someone on GAG found it astounding that Trump had pardoned several individuals for what some deemed questionable reasons.

I erred when I stated that he pardoned the BOSTON MARATHON BUTCHERY, by some scum and someone was very quick to jump on that like stink on a turd.

Biden pardoned 39 individuals convicted of non-violent crimes, many of whom were drug offenses committed when they were younger, according to a White House statement.
He also issued a proclamation granting pardons to people convicted of certain federal marijuana offenses.
Additionally, he pardoned former military service members convicted under a since-repealed ban on consensual gay sex.
He did not pardon anyone serving time for terrorism or mass murder.
Trump pardoned the rioters of the Jan 6 insurrection which was firstly against the Constitution (he participated in an insurrection--breaking the 14th Amendment. He recently pardoned a couple from Tennessee who were unanimously convicted by a jury in 2022 of fraud, tax evasion and conspiracy to defraud the United States. BIG difference.

There’s a very big difference between saying someone gets life in prison without parole over lethal injection (mainly because it costs a shitload of money to justify killing someone legally versus just letting them die naturally in prison) and giving someone a pardon and releasing them of all charges against them. That’s letting prisoners go free.

Death penalties are stupid and Biden just moved them to life in prison which is honestly the logical punishment. This is nothing about the death penalty being "excessive" or not, its about the death penalty itself being a stupid idea that has no value to society.

Its also worth pointing out that Biden still keeps these people in jail for life where as Trump is stepping into the legal process to save these criminals from accountability. They are not the same.

The death penalty prevents recidivism. There is always the chance some liberal judge will let a mass murderer out.

At this point we really do not know exactly who signed off on those pardons. It is likely that biden was not even aware of it.

@Bricealan There were many pardons issued in the last few days of the Biden regime. The whole Biden regime was issued a blanket pardon for all crimes going back to the dawn of time. Conspicuously missing a pardon was the Big Guy himself.
The DOJ should find out when these pardons were signed and whare was Joe Biden at that time. The DOJ could make Joe Biden testify under oath and compel him to roll over on everyone else in exchange for immunity. The government should to have the proceedings on Pay Per View and balance the budget.

If someone chopped up your brother, sister, mother, father...(assuming you loved them) OR shot them to death, or stabbed them to death... Do you want them to live out their life at YOUR expense in a federal Prison... You are 24 ? Are you serious? Life in Prison is CHEAPER than keeping them on death row? How did you come up with that conclusion>

Life in prison is generally cheaper and if someone chopped up my family member I would be fine either way. You’re comparing taking someone off death row and giving them life in prison to completely pardoning people. That’s just plainly a stupid comparison. Biden pardoned people including his son and that would have at least been some sort of a comparison although I don’t believe Biden pardoned people for financial incentives
