Donald Trump Looking Into Possibly Pardoning Sean Diddy Combs, What Are Your Thoughts?

On Friday, May 30, President Donald Trump was asked if he would consider pardoning once famous rapper, Sean "Diddy" Combs. President Donald Trump addressed whether he would consider a pardon for Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is on trial in New York City on federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. A federal indictment depicted Combs as leading an expansive criminal enterprise to engage in, among other crimes, “sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.” When asked by Fox News' Peter Doocy if he would pardon Diddy, the president responded in part, "Well, nobody's asked. You had to be the one to ask, Peter. I know people are thinking about it. First of all, I'd look at what's happening. I haven't spoken to him in years. He really liked me a lot."

Trump has been photographed with Diddy numerous times over the years, mainly in the 1990s and early 2000s. In 2012, Trump vouched for Diddy's character, calling him a "friend" and a "good guy" during an episode of his reality show Celebrity Apprentice. Diddy has also shown support for Trump over the years, with Trump appearing at a few of the mogul's parties and events in New York City.

Trump on Friday said he’d “look at the facts” amid suggestions that he could pardon Sean “Diddy” Combs if the rapper is convicted in his ongoing federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial. “First of all, I’d look at what’s happening. And I haven’t been watching it too closely,” Trump said when asked whether he’d consider a pardon. He said he hasn’t spoken to Combs “in years” and noted that “nobody’s asked” for the clemency. Suge Knight, the former CEO of Death Row Records, suggested earlier this month that Trump could pardon the rapper. Combs is facing life in prison if convicted.

Due to this, Trump is receiving a lot of backlash for the pardoning.

Nobody knows for sure what he’s guilty of except that he’s definitely known and seen on video abusing women, but who really knows if he is a sex trafficker or not but if they do find him guilty of that, I don’t think he should get pardoned
