Why do algorhythms punish you for succeeding?

I don't mean if you're like famous or something, then it pushes you.

But on multiple platforms I've garnered followings of a few hundreds to thousands. Yet my posts get less exposure and engagement, why?

Maybe because you hit it big. Like, think of it from this perspective.

Those that are followed get notified of your inquiries / posts / can share with their friends. In order to balance that to be fair for others to climb the social ladder, their posts get more algorithmic special treatment.

I think it is a good thing, since without it a lot of users would always be on the top while those wanting engagement can never achieve it. If that makes sense.

Probably some butt hurt commie wrote the algorithm. They hate success and love failure.
