The missing word, by the way, is "violent". The only person threatening violence is Trump.

The man is intellectually impaired. He has been a compulsive liar his entire life. But if you watch videos from the 1980s he was at least able to speak coherently. So 52% of American voters decided to choose a narcissist that is borderline senile to hold the nuclear football. I understand there are genuine concerns about economic wellbeing for an average worker over the past 40 years. But putting an idiot in charge of the country isn't going to solve that.

Where is the violence coming from? The rioters.

LAPD officers have said they appreciate the extra help the National Guard gives them, so that, collectively, they can control people and protect buildings. Without the Guard support, LAPD has their hands full trying to control the rioters and can't protect buildings, which is why so much looting takes place. It's ironic that a store owned by a Mexican immigrant has been destroyed.

How do you know that? The reporting is confused and misleading at best. For example, this article www.dailymail.co.uk/.../...rs-rocks-van-crowd.html waits until paragraph nine to say: "Earlier in the day, authorities were filmed raining down rubber bullets and tear gas on demonstrators - the majority of whom were peaceful - as they marched against President Trump's nationwide crackdown on illegal migrants."

At least two cars were driven into protests. They weren't driven by protesters.

I'm curious, do you have a source for the claim that the LAPD is grateful for the assistance, because all I have seen is:

I took that quote from Newsweek, and I have seen it mentioned elsewhere, so I'd be interested in knowing where you saw differently, as there seem to be some conflicting claims.

@AviatorTom The area is one square mile. In reality LAPD sent a letter to the protest permit holders / organizers thanking them for keeping it peaceful. Ans this will all come out in court tomorrow when Newsoms case is heard.
