And if so, will the USA be drawn in?
5.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Israel is a little bully that depends on its big brother, the U. S., to keep it from getting its ass whooped.
It fires missiles at other countries from a safe distance like a coward. It engages in acts of war against countries that can't retaliate.
It has been trying to provoke the U. S. into attacking Iran for decades. It has fired missiles at Iran. It has assassinated Iranian leaders, ambassadores and scientists.
So it recently fired missiles at Iran, saying that it was a "preemptive" strike. Preemptive against what? More like "unprovoked".
Iran is huge and very well armed.
Iran retaliated with a very limited bombardment the last time Israel attacked it.
Today I am hearing about massive bombardments against Israel in retaliation to its most recent act of aggression. The defense ministry and other targets in Tel Aviv have been hit, along with air and military bases, chemical plants, a harbor, and a nuclear facility in the Negev.
That Iron Dome ain't working so well against hypersonic missiles
Iran also shot down an Israeli F-35 and captured the pilot who ejected.
I was seeing all kinds of footage and reports on Facebook. Then I heard that Israel put a blackout on all reports of damage so that it can lie about the extent. Suddenly, all reports on Facebook disappeared. But I heard that Iran is on its 6th wave of bombardments.
Oh, and Netanyahu fled the country for Greece.
So who is going to kick who's ass?
The U. S. won't attack Iran because it is vulnerable in the region and because Russia and China are allied with Iran.
Does Israel still want to play tough guy with the region's super power or will it learn its lesson?
Does Israel want to launch nukes and reveal that it has them? It would be the first time that nukes had been used since Nagasaki. And the entire world would turn against Israel.
In the end, if Israel want war, it will get pulverized.

Iran has absolutely no interest in occupying Israel, and their desire for nuclear weapons is entirely reasonable, given the extreme aggression that Israel has shown towards its neighbours and Iran's allies.
While Israel does want to occupy most of the middle-East (their notion of a "Greater Israel" would include Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, and large parts of Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Egypt), that doesn't actually include Iran.34 Reply- 1 mo
@MuddyMole " Iran has absolutely no interest in occupying Israel, and their desire for nuclear weapons is ENTIRELY REASONABLE?, given the extreme aggression that Israel has shown towards its neighbors and Iran's allies" WOW, NO DOUBT ABOUT WHAT PART OF THE PLANET YOUR ARE FROM "Death to Israel, Death to America" ... That doesn't ring a bell in your empty head? AND Israel DOES want to occupy most of the Middle East?
- 1 mo
@Bricealan I'm British (white atheist, if that makes any difference).
Yes, I'd say it's reasonable. Israel has alway been very open about its intentions to claim extensive territory in the region, which it feels is promised to them by God, and its actions, going back decades, confirm that.
Iran obviously supports the other mainly-Islamic countries in the region, from which Israel wants to take that territory, which naturally makes Israel a threat to them too (Iran sees itself as a kind of defender of Islam, in the same way that the US sees itself as a defender of democracy).
The US obviously supports Israel, to the extent of being a puppet state when it comes to Middle Eastern affairs (Why? What's in it for Americans?), which makes them a threat too.
How would you expect Iran to feel about the US?
There's really no reason for the US to have any involvement in the Middle East, and there never has been (maybe oil, back in the day, but not any more). There might be a moral argument, but there are many conflicts going on all around the world at any given moment, which the US happily ignores, and there's nothing that makes this one special. - 1 mo
@FenixG45 Haha, I don't use TikTok.
Why do you think 9/11 happened? Osama Bin Laden was not just some cartoon villain, who does bad things for no other reason than that he is evil, and the US was not just an innocent victim, minding its own business (the country that is - obviously the individuals killed that day were innocent).
I'm certainly not defending him or Al Qaeda, but 9/11 was a completely logical and predictable response to US actions in the region, and the reasons for Iran hating the US are largely the same reasons Al Qaeda do.
ie. US support for Israel; US support for other regimes where Muslims had been persecuted (eg. in Chechnya, Kashmir, Somalia, Lebanon); Presence of US troops in Saudi Arabia (home to the most holy sites in Islam); Trade sanctions against Iraq (after already devastating the country during the Gulf War).
2.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I'm waiting for Iran's retaliation. I think they talk much and are hissing red flags but do nothing serious after. 400 Shahed drones like last week in Ukraine isn't something that breaks backbone of a country

Probably not, Iran has repeatedly shown restraint when attacked by the US and it's proxies. Unlike Israel, Iran doesn't want to destroy the world.

@Theodish_Warrior Uh oh. If Trump see’s this, He’ll boot you from the U. S

Iran has shown restraint? That is some serious humor. Iran and its proxy puppets have been the biggest perpetrators of worldwide terrorism since the country was turned over to Islamic extremists in the 1970s. They are the scourge of the planet.
You want to talk about restraint? Israel could turn Iran into a smoking hole in the ground in a couple of hours with its nuclear arsenal. One press of a button and it ran would be vaporized.
Yet after repeated unprovoked attacks against it for over 70 years, Israel has shown more restraint than any other nation in the history of the human race. - 1 mo
You're just showing how good of a job the US gov is at covering up Israeli terrorism. I recommend educating yourself on the history of Israeli Zionist paramilitary terrorist groups throughout the last 80 years. And also compare the death and destruction caused by Iran when compared to Israel it is tiny
- 1 mo
@Arwen06. @Theodish_Warrior. @RingOfFire.
In what warped dimension is Iran showing "restraint", cuz it's NOT in this time & dimension!
And yes, Israel COULD turn Iran into a smoking crater, but it is not! Why? Because Iranian people are NOT an enemy. The enemy is the Iranian Theocratic Tyranny! Let the Iranian people deal with their tyrant dictator! - 1 mo
@Theodish_Warrior
We are impressed with how much more enlightened you are than everyone else. But Israelis don't teach children in their schools how to put on suicide vests and blow up Arabs and Persians.

And Israel can't take on Iran by themselves. Trump basically innitiated this war. He cancelled the last nuclear deal even though Iran was following it and he gave Israel permission to do this, so the U. S. will be pulled into this. Israel has wanted this war for decades but for some reason they never started it before because they knew they couldn't win unless they had U. S. backing. Now under this "anti war, spend money at home" president they found the guts to do it. And of course this is another nice distraction for Netanyahu to cling on to power so he'll milk this as much as he can.
10 Reply940 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Maybe? Probably not?
Lets not pretend that Iran does conventional warfare. Even if Israel puts on their big-boy pants and goes to Iran to visit, its not like they will win a conventional war. They will just get the American middle-eastern special AKA get bogged down in a hostile occupation for decades with no ending in sight while more and more car bombs rearranges the local geography.
Israel should not start something they can't finish. Problem is that Israel is not currently governed by particularly smart people so they might give this whole war idea a good collage try to spectacular (-ly bad) results.
And I dont think USA will get dragged in. USA will definitely support Israel but I dont think Trump or USA wants boots on the ground in another middle eastern war.

No. Iran cannot survive a full blown war. Iran has always fought with proxies. In the first Trump presidency Trump had Iran poor with sanctions… they couldn’t fight a war. Biden came in, removed the sanctions, and gave Iran billions $$. Iran then turns around and funds Hamas, the Houthi, and Hezbollah to fight Israel. Trump is sanctioning again, Israel just took out leadership, scientists, and wartime manufacturing capabilities. There won’t be a war.
00 Reply I’ve heard this said for as long as I live
And everyday somebody says “today the shoe will drop”
It never does
Because we’re in a world ran by godless animals who use fear and terror to control their own people
Natanyahu NEEDS an enemy to keep claiming the power he claims over his people
And so does the islamic powers leading Iran
All out, potentially nuclear, war would be far too costly for either side just to go through with it00 ReplyThe USA is already in it! They are trying to destabelise the middle east using Israël as their cover. Funny that people. still fail to realise that the US has done nothing else then going to war from WW2 till now. They have invaded more then 20 country's in 70 years time.
Stop watching propoganda on television and look on the internet for the truth. You will be shocked what you're going to find out! The USA is not the good guy, there are the criminals commiting endless warcrimes00 Reply- 1 mo
Each side will launch some minor air attacks on the other, as they've done for years. Neither side will put boots on the ground.
The US already plays a defensive role in Israel, shooting down incoming missiles, and will continue to do so.

Israel already has boots on the ground inside of Iran They outsmarted Iran as they always do and have their own military operatives already inside doing damage.
It's the most beautiful thing since the pager attack which in my view was probably the most brilliant military attack of all times. I'm still laughing about it. - 1 mo
@RingOfFire Having Mossad operatives in Iran is not the same as boots-on-the-ground army personnel. Mossad is everywhere, including operatives in the US, the Israeli military is not.

As an American and the descendent of holocaust survivors, president trump had better not send our military service members to fight and possibly die in Netanyahu’s war, at this point America should just stop giving Israel anything a long time ago, but to answer your question, it’s possible, many in our own government have wanted war with Iran for a loooong time, and these same people are not interested in doing anything about the countless problems we have here in America

To achieve what, exactly? While not being able to wipe out the ragtag militia of Hamas, Israel wants to burden their army further with a full-scale war against Iran? Not even Netanyahu is that bloodthirsty.
00 Reply - 1 mo
So what else is new? Israel has been fighting it's neighbors my entire life, and long before that.
Will the US get drawn in? It hasn't yet and there is no reason to think that will change.00 Reply There ALREADY is a full-blown war. Israel has struck key personnel, nuclear, some oil & armaments locations. Israel has avoided targeting Iranian civilians.
On the other hand, Iran has NOT exercised ANY restraint striking ANYTHING it can, including civilians!00 Reply- 1 mo
Eh, to a degree.
They are too far apart and cannot invade each other so firing missiles and air strikes is about all they can do.
10 Reply 10.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. There is. Israel will not stop until they are convinced that Iran has been stopped from developing any nuclear weapons. And even from buying any.
00 Reply21.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. If it does the US will have to get involved to prevent s nuclear war. I suppose it gives the US a good reason to go into Iran and bomb all it's nuclear facilities back into the stone age.
01 Reply11.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Should bloody hope so. We have the USA going crazy, can't have Israel getting crazier as well.
00 ReplyI dont think there will be full blown war. Israel want to get rid of Iran's nuclear program. And i dont blame them. Iran supports bunch of lunatics - Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis. So god forbid any of those idiots get a nuke.

As fully blown as the Ukraine show, I will expect.
The U. S. indeed will be drawn in --- by making lots of $ profits from it.
00 Reply That’s a rather scary concept, considering that they have a nuclear arsenal, and nuclear allies! America and Russia then that would pull in the rest!

Iran is bluffing amd Israel is just showing off how America is its fucking bitch. If Iran had nukes this would have never happened. All they do is die and threaten
