Yes. Israel is a major financial ally. Without foreign backers, the dollar completely loses its value and our economy collapses overnight. The tenuous strength of our currency, combined with the vast majority of our assets being held by our military makes us the goons for hire on the world stage. Despite his obvious attempts to pull us out of harm’s way, Drumpf is being criticized and frankly obstructed from implementing common sense isolationist measures that could eventually put us in a similar situation to Switzerland. Not entirely off the global stage, but where we could actually decide based on the facts of the conflict who we support, when and how.
Those who profit from war have done a remarkable job of making the vast majority of US citizens self-destructive warmongers themselves.
