We all have a light and dark side. How good are you at balancing these two extremes?

My dark side only shows up on very rare occasions. Usually, only when I'm severely pissed off. At least 99% of the time, I'm QUITE happy and helpful!!
When I was about 11 years old, I noticed how my grandfather and my little brother were CONSTANTLY bitching about everything under the Sun!! We were in the process of building the powder room next to the kitchen, at the time. Then I noticed that I was starting to get that way, too!! I didn't WANT to be like them so, I made it a point to stop then and there!! A while later I noticed that an older guy across the street, Frank Gallo, was ALWAYS cheerful!! Even if bad shit happened, he didn't let it get him down, much! THAT'S how I wanted to be so, I've done my best to be like him!! SOMETIMES, things get the better of me and I DO get pissed off but, not very often!

I live mostly on the dark side and view the world through that lens. But I can hide that and create the outward appearance of a smiling laid back guy for the majority of people who don't want to know the dark stuff exists. No need to scare the people who want to go through life not knowing.

Light vs. Dark is for sure for emotional people an internal fight with their ego. I see it as deterrence and attraction. Attract people who you want around you, deter those who you want keep at distance. Being kind and benevolent helps girl like me to gain trust and causes positive emotional impulses in people I find worthy to impress. However I don't do that because I feel better or my ego needs affirmation of others. It's a strategical resource for me. Maybe this is my darkest side.

If you stop yourself from expressing darkness in situations where it’s required you will find yourself releasing that darkness at times you need to bring forward your light side

The balance comes from embracing both
And giving every situation exactly what it requires

Terrible because I just eat chocolate, I don't like white chocolate.

beyond that, I refresh myself on Jesus and although I am weak and screw up, I think about and aim to be like Christ. That keeps me thinking about the light side. The dark side is there and pulls.

focus on God, good deeds.. "Do unto others as you would have them do to you".

My dark side tends to come out around people that are opposites of myself in terms of personity and views. I'd say for the most part, I'm pretty good at managing my emotions though. I don't let people easily see the dark side. I consider myself pretty easy going. And when someone usually does trigger me a little, I tend to walk away.

Not good but I'm learning. There can be a lot of shame and guilt. I've kind of learned, I think recently, that moderated and accepted 'bad' aspects of myself can actually be good and serve a purpose.

Pretty good, I try to keep the dark side limited to fiction. Only thing that can draw a bit of it out is my competitiveness, even the not actually dark but darker than i'd like.

I can rotate. So light and dark sides become relative.  However... rotating too fast will make us lose balance.
