There’s no evidence that what you wrote is true. The EPA is reviewing the previous administration’s order to decide if it will be upheld in whole, in part, or repealed.

The US can still produce asbestos. Health and safety regulations have made it untenable though. Reviewing arguably overreaching regulations on asbestos, petroleum, and other resources that we can still produce and refine domestically has potentially positive impacts. Reducing US dependence on foreign suppliers strengthens our economy and the value of our currency on the global markets. It also incentivizes job creators to bring good jobs back to the USA. Of course the risks and costs need to be evaluated before they can estimate whether such decisions are net positive. That is all they’re doing right now.
However, most US citizens underestimate the importance of economic independence and nearly none fully understand how fragile our currency is right now. In turn, our economy is a house of cards. Drumpf appears to be trying to prevent an impending collapse. I’m in favor of that.

The ban probably over regulates the amount of asbestos that can be present, causing excessive financial costs to construction companies. Trump is trying to de regulate certain industries so they can create more jobs.

We can potentially create more jobs with the research, development and manufacturing processes for materials that could replace asbestos than we do by repealing health and safety regulations.
