Is Capitalism a good system for deployment of AI?

If not, what is a better system... even a new one?

The issue being Risk. AI can create various risks to humanity beyond anything we've seen before.

Other countries could see us as an existential threat and wish to destroy us, before we destroy the world or over power them. Other countries may race against us (USA), all in an effort that severely impacts humanity.

Should AI be encapsulated in a "safety first" priority system, rather than a capitalistic one... all about the value/savings?

Communism.

It's why China did a BETTER job at AI than the USA, at half the cost, half the resources and a fraction of the hardware.

Capitalism is about profit - not progress. Capitalism doesn't give a fuck if you have to bankrupt yourself, pollute your air, and sow chaos in your community - as long as you have enough to pay the lawyer, pay the fine, and make a profit - it's good.

China work very differently. Your business not only needs to sign a social contract, but also be agreeable to the community its in. If you fuck around, then you can get the death penalty for trying to make a profit from misery.

AI is good to organize a revolution (pick the right one... what we have on this site isn't 'AI', but just entertainment machinery)

Any bomb can also be directed against its maker.

'Capitalism' and all its competing ideas are a temporary compromise only.

I would rather use AI to make all of these ''systems'' vanish by replacing them with better ideas.

if AI is deployed by capitalism only a select few will benefit. Instead of distributing the benefits to everyone.

I think so as well. While our best and brighest turn into dumb basses that won't read and validate if something is true. We may not even know what "true" is... it's whomever trained the AI... and where did they get their training.

A capitalist system needs to be enforced properly, which it currently isn't. If it was, the monopolies we have now wouldn't exist because they are not products of the free market.
