I would say so. People are not naturally taught that the earth is flat which means that they would have to go actively look for this pile of shit and then decide that it is now their new home.

It is easier to access information about the correct shape of the earth than it is about flat earth conspiracy theories so they by very definition should have all the information as well as the personal agency to come to a correct outcome. The only thing that is keeping them back is their own intelligence and personal preconceived beliefs or distrusts which all can be neatly folded under being a moron.

I told someone last week that mark my words, Trump will be on the internet or on TV saying the fucking earth is flat within the next three and half years. It will happen. I predict it. And they'll be teaching that in American schools. He and his base is that anti-thought and that anti-science. He has said some of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. "The earth is flat". . . he'll say it. It's coming.

No, its derogatory and a quick research told me it was once used towards mentally disabled people with a mental age between 7-12. Flat earthers clearly have a lower mental age.

If they unironically refuse to accept empirical evidence that disproves the theory of “flat Earth”, absolutely.
Otherwise, they’re just goofballs who don’t know when to put a lame joke down. Which arguably still qualifies them as morons.
