If the Soviet Union was the advertised reason for forming NATO, why was it not disbanded when the USSR collapsed? Why did they keep adding more members?
This 'collective defense' against USSR was formed on the condition that IF any NATO country was attacked by USSR, then it would be considered an attack on all NATO members and they would retaliate collectively.
But again, USSR fell and the new Russian Federation has never attacked any NATO country. Which means NATO military should have been inactive and dormant ever since its founding. But as we know NATO military has been deployed on aggression missions all around Africa and Middle East.
The 9/11 WTC attacks orchestrated by Israel in the USA and pinned on the Middle East is the only outside 'attack' on any NATO country. But besides the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq by the USA using NATO military, there have been plenty other deployments of NATO military under the guise of continued 'war on terror'.
If NATO was formed as a deterrent to USSR/ Russia, why was NATO military used for the made up 'war on terror' which had nothing to do with Russia? Why was NATO military used against the Middle East which is not part of Russia?
And the biggest misuse - Why was NATO military used in Libya during the Gaddafi unrest? Libya never attacked any NATO country and neither is it part of Russia.
The UN Security Council passes military action resolutions against weaker countries and the military they use is NATO. What has the UN got to do with NATO? And 2 permanent members of the UN Security Council are non-NATO, so how can they vote to pass resolutions to deploy NATO military anywhere?
