This picture was posted on Instagram by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a few days ago.

It shows Israel and Iran working together, in peace, symbolized by each country's lion.

Do you think that Israel and Iran will ever get along like this?

Under the CURRENT regime? Not a single tiny snowflakes chance on Satan's barbeque grill in the ninth ring of hell. If the current regime is removed though and the old Sha's son stabilizes the country and helps transition to a democracy, I think it may be possible. Most of the people of Iran hate their current government and if they are freed from it that might bank some real good will with the people and open the door to positive relations.

In the 70s Iran used to look like a little America. Woman could wear dresses and jeans, have jobs and they weren't slaves they were citizens. When the terrorists took over that all changed but there are people in Iran that still remember what freedom was like and they want it back. If we go about this the right way we have the chance to turn the tide in how the middle east conducts their relations with America. There will never be peace in the middle east as long as there is Islam but it CAN be MORE peaceful than it is now.

Both need virtual enemies and only if they could find some other they will go along.
Israel could peak Turkey as virtual enemy and Iran could choose Saudi Arabia.
Both are highly indoctrinated religious regimes with expansion ambitions. Conflict is their main tool to maintain inner political stability with forced obedience because of external threats.

Neither side can ever be 100% trustworthy. Just when we thought we could take a breath after the U. S. desomated Iran's nuclear facilities and they had a ceasefire - it started right up again.🙄
This is almost like a war based on masculine pride.

It is ‘The Middle East’

It is a Holy War 2025 Edition, next 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, 2030, etc.

That is the politics of the region: Blow buildings, civilians, land, and bases up in the name of the religious text of insert religion name here.

It is senseless violence and cycle of perpetual destruction and obliteration for the governments elected by the citizens. Each set of citizens are the causalities, though one group in particular are the starving, poor, and dying more than the other side (Israel).

I would want Iran, Israel, Palestine, etc. to get along, but as long as their leaders have political aspirations that are destructive, manipulative, “religious”, and selfish it will be this way forever. ‘The Middle East’ has been this way for centuries and it won’t stop soon.

It is a mess and America should never be involved. It is a waste.

No. Iran supports the people of Palestine and opposes their genocide by Israel.
Israel hates Iran for that and wants to destroy Iran the way it supported the destruction of Libya and Syria and attacked Lebanon.

Israel has a plan for expanding from the Nile to the Euphrates and Iran is about the only country willing or capable of opposing it. All the amoral, greedy Arab leaders are bought off.

Israel is the metaphorical equivalent of the female brat that needs an alpha male to give her a jolly good bit of rough sexual discipline.

If Iran becomes that dominant male putting the brat in her deserved place, you never know, in the 22nd century, the two might get along OK.

No. Not as long as Israel (or Jewish people for that matter exist). For Iran an Israel to get along one of two things have to happen. Either 1. Iran has to love more than hate. And 2. Israel has to decide to stop defending itself. That's equally as unlikely to happen. So settle in, this only ends one way. And that's with the destruction of the Iranian regime. And no one of good conscience from the west wants that if at all possible.
