World Population abnormally high compared to census data. Have you heard this?

According to an article on MSN news, the world population is believed to be "billions higher than previously calculated" due to rural population not being counted correctly in some countries. What do you think of this news?

Maybe. On the other hand most third world governments are very restrictive in matter of allowing movement of their own people inside their own countries, that's why ID and passports are obligatory. Most countries have compulsory schooling. This make people easy to count
