Can someone tell me more about Nebraska?

I am looking to potentially relocate out of Knoxville, Tennessee eventually. Housing costs have skyrocketed, prices have been driven up astronomically, northerners and west-coasters are moving here in the droves and snatching up houses with cash payments, the healthcare (both mental and general) here is terrible, the traffic is gawd awful, and there is a lack of respect for emergency service (Fire and EMS) crews here.

I am exploring options with hopes to find a state with more affordability and better healthcare. I am seeking a place that is good to raise a wholesome family, has good community, and somewhere that is overall thriving and happy.
